Rafinha is one of the fringe players Barcelona are looking to offload during the summer transfer window.
The Catalan club are aiming to raise more than €100m from sales in the current market, and the La Masia product is on the list.
Spending time at Inter Milan last season a loan spell, it had been expected the Italian club would move to make it permanent but they’ve failed to do so. Inter also had Joao Cancelo on loan from Valencia and could have made that permanent, but missed their option and he’s gone to Juventus instead.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Rafinha wants to be an important player wherever he ends up this summer, and it’s also claimed West Ham are the club to have shown most interest so far.
The Catalan newspaper says the problem for that route, or one of them, is that West ham won’t play in Europe next season, which would be a drawback for the player.
Given the purchases which the Hammers have already made, it could be that the Barca player has missed his chance anyway.
The 25 year old midfielder has a contract lasting until June 2020.
