Watford have their eyes set on Tenerife’s Shaq Moore for the summer window, according to claims from Spain.
The 25-year-old joined the second division Spanish club from Levante in 2019 and has featured regularly for them in his first two seasons.
Last term, the right-back was restricted to 23 league appearances, with only a handful of starts as he clocked up just over 1000 minutes in the Segunda División.
Despite the restricted game time with the LaLiga2 side, Watford and Montpellier are keeping an eye on him.
That’s according to AS, who explain the USMNT fullback is being ‘closely followed’ by both the Hornets and the French club.
The American needs more game time in the first half of the 2022/23 season in order to improve his chances of representing his country at the Qatar World Cup.
Therefore, he ‘would not look badly’ upon the option to leave, to join either Watford or Montpellier, in search of regular minutes.
Moore’s contract expires in 2024 and has a €10m release clause. AS explain Tenerife are referring to the player’s clause when asked for a price.
