It’s no secret Middlesbrough are in negotiations to sign Alvaro Negredo and Antonio Barragan from Valencia.
The Premier League side are trying to complete a loan move for Negredo, whilst Barragan is expected to be signed on a permanent deal.
According to a latest report on Valencia based website Super Deporte, Middlesbrough officials could imminently arrive in Valencia to complete a deal for Barragan.
Negotiations for Negredo are expected to continue, and are slightly more complicated.
Super Deporte say Valencia wants some kind of future commitment on Negredo, so it’s likely they might want a mandatory purchase option. That’s how they ended up with Negredo in the first place from Manchester City.
Barragan has just one year left on his current deal, and the player is not really wanted by manager Pako Ayestran.
Middlesbrough have been quite active in the transfer market, so we won’t be surprised should they complete a deal quickly for both the players.
Barragan and Negredo are pictured above, the man in the middle is Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes. He could also be leaving Valencia this summer, but the asking price is €65m, so maybe he won’t be turning up at the Riverside.
