It’s been a while, but Leeds United are back in the European media for positive reasons.
At the start of last season the Championship club were getting coverage around Europe for their good start to the campaign and there seemed a genuine goodwill towards Leeds and their efforts to get back into the big time.
There was a lot of coverage in Spain, thanks to Thomas Christiansen and Samu Saiz, with the Catalan media being particularly interested in the manager, given his Barcelona connections.
That all went wrong and the next time Leeds got serious widespread coverage was over the badge change farce, but now the club are back in a Catalan newspaper.
