Among the many names linked to Newcastle United in the past few days, there’s Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz.
Reports from the English press have been claiming that the 28-year-old is one of the new targets who the Magpies have, and a bid of €10m could be on the way in the January window.
Of course it didn’t take long until that story got to Spain, where a few outlets are covering the claims, and some are making their own comments on it.
So as Cadena Ser echoes the news today, they make it pretty clear that in case that bid is made, that would be enough to take Diaz from the Santiago Bernabeu.
“With this offer, it’s certain that Real Madrid do not think, that they’d be delighted,” they say at Cadenar Ser.
The outlet recalls that Rayo Vallecano tried to sign Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid in the summer, and despite reaching an agreement for a loan, it wasn’t possible to convince the player to make the move. So perhaps the Magpies would need to work on that as well.
