Borja Bastón is likely to leave Swansea City this summer, especially after the club officially admitted he could be finding a new destination in the transfer window.
Spanish side Malaga are one of the sides interested in landing the striker, and outlet Malaga Hoy has a big story explaining his entire situation in the Premier League.
After taking claims from AS and Wales Online to inform their readers of recent developments with the player at Swansea, the newspaper says that although Malaga want the signing, it’s impossible they can land Baston permanently.
Swansea paid €18m to buy the player from Atletico Madrid last summer, and there’s no way Malaga could pay something close to that.
Even a loan deal sounds complicated, because the striker earns around €3m per season, so Swansea would have to agree to continue paying part of that.
There isn’t much optimism from the Spanish side, but the story makes it clear there’s one positive side to a potential deal… Swansea City are willing to listen.
