According to a claim in the Turkish media, Southampton and West Ham United are showing an interest in Clermont Foot forward Florian Aye, but will face competition from Fenerbahce.

The youngster has been in impressive form for the Ligue 2 club this season, scoring 17 goals in 35 games.

This has brought him to the attention of Southampton and West Ham, but Haberturk say Fenerbahce have made the first move for the 22 year old.

It’s reported the Istanbul club’s sporting director Damien Comolli travelled to France at the weekend to get a lowdown on Aye, with claims they’ve already made an offer for the player.

Both Premier League clubs are likely to bolster their attacking options this summer and in particular West Ham, who have been linked with countless options.

Southampton are likely to look to add goals to their squad for next season, with Nathan Redmond their top scorer with nine.

Aye is under contract with his club until June 2021.
