Southampton are interested in a deal for Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski and could sign him ‘rather quickly’.
That’s according to La Nazione, relayed by Fiorentina.it, who say the Saints are ‘ready to shell out’ €6m to sign the Polish goalkeeper by the end of the month.
Southampton are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper this summer, with Fraser Forster set to join Tottenham on a free transfer at the end of his contract.
While they still have Alex McCarthy, Willy Caballero and Harry Lewis on the books, the goalkeeping department has been a problem one for some time.
It seems they are now looking to resolve it with the signing of Dragowski, and La Nazione report a deal could be imminent.
According to their information, a move ‘could materialise rather quickly’ and ‘interesting offers’ have already been put on Fiorentina’s table.
One of those is from Southampton, who are ready to pay €6m to secure the goalkeeper’s signature by the end of the month.
That would suit Fiorentina, who have already started work on finding a replacement and are planning a move for Atalanta’s Pierluigi Gollini, who is set to return from a loan spell at Tottenham.
