Lyon are sorting out their summer transfer window, and L’Equipe reports the only important player or prospect they’re likely to sell is Nabil Fekir, and his probable destination is said to be Liverpool.
There are some lesser used players the French club are looking to offload, and one of those is Mouctar Diakhaby.
The 21 year old has sporadically been linked with a move to the Premier League, and L’Equipe presents two clubs who are interested.
Possible destinations for Diakhaby are named as Southampton and Valencia, but whilst an exit is expected, there’s no transfer fee estimated at this stage and no claims of talks with either interested club.
Diakhaby is 21 years of age and a central defender. He started 21 games for Lyon in the last campaign, but L’Equipe believe he’s a possible sale.
Southampton have been scouting in France for some years.
When Mauricio Pochettino left he ended up taking the France scout with him, but the Saints quickly got a new man and that led to a strange situation where the two clubs were repeatedly linked to the same Ligue 1 players.
