Fotomac report Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, who spent the last season on loan at Galatasaray, has been offered to Turkish club Besiktas.
The midfielder was a key player for Fatih Terim’s side during his stay in Istanbul, but he’s back as a Southampton player, on paper at least, after his loan contract expired.
According to Fotomac, agents have offered him to Besiktas, as the Black Eagles are looking to bolster their squad in the summer transfer window.
Sergen Yalcin’s side finished 3rd in the league last season, and they will play in the Champions League qualifiers, so signing Lemina could be a good piece of business for the club.
However, they can only offer €1m in wages for the player and there’s no information about Lemina’s reaction to this. Last season he was earning €2m whilst on loan with Galatasaray.
The 27 year old is unlikely to stay with Ralph Hassenhüttl’s side and another loan move could be on the cards. Lemina’s contract at St. Mary’s will expire at the end of June 2022.
