Chelsea winger Willian has chosen to sign for Arsenal, according to claims from the Brazilian media. ESPN Brasil journalist Bruno Vicari reports that the Gunners hope to announce his signing in the coming days.

It’s stated there’s been no agreement for the winger to renew his contract with Chelsea, and he shouldn’t even have a farewell match for the Blues.

Willian was ruled out of the FA Cup final against the Gunners at the weekend due to an injury, and should also miss the upcoming Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

Bruno Vicari claims that Manchester City and Manchester United have also made approaches in the past few days, but the length of contract offered by Arsenal made the player choose to sign for them.

There are no details regarding the agreement with the Gunners, although it’s once again claimed that Willian wanted a three-year deal with Chelsea, but the club only offered him two.

Willian joined the Stamford Bridge side in a €35m move from Anzhi back in 2013. In seven seasons with the club, he scored 63 goals and contributed 62 assists in 339 appearances.

Bruno Vicari is a host at ESPN Brasil’s show Bate Bola and doesn’t push out endless transfer claims. This is probably a sign he’s pretty certain of what he’s saying.
