Besiktas are still in the market for a forward before the Turkish window closes next week and Fotomac claim Southampton’s Guido Carrillo has emerged as a surprise target for the Super Lig club.
The Argentine doesn’t fit in Ralph Hassenhüttl’s plans and Fotomac report he could join Besiktas on a season-long loan.
Besiktas have reportedly sounded out Southampton with regards to a potential deal and the Turkish newspaper claim they are hopeful of getting something over the line.
The Black Eagles are now in a race against time if they want to bring in the player before the window closes in Europe and they desperately need to bring in a No.9 due to a lack of cover in the position.
Carrillo spent last season on loan at Leganes and retuned to Southampton after scoring 6 goals in 32 games for the Spanish club.
However, his future seems far away from St. Mary’s and another loan move could be a possibility for the attacker, who has also been linked with a move to Olympiacos in this window.
The former Monaco player, who cost €20m to Southampton, is under contract at St. Mary’s until June 2021.
