Southampton have ‘made an offer’ to Feyenoord defender Marcus Pedersen, with the Dutch side open to a deal.

That’s according to 1908, who say the Saints have lodged an offer with the player but are yet to open transfer talks.

They report that Feyenoord are ‘open to selling’ the right-back for the right amount, although that figure isn’t made clear at this point.

Southampton are yet to make a concrete offer or a proposal to Feyenoord at this moment in time, but there is always a possibility that can change.

The Saints are well covered for right-backs with Tino Livramento, Kyle Walker-Peters and Yan Valery in their squad at this moment in time.

However, Livramento has suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, so his return date is currently unknown, and Walker-Peters spent the majority of last season playing at left-back, so perhaps Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl is looking for further cover.

As stated, Feyenoord are open to a potential deal for the right price, with Pedersen currently valued at around €4.5m after a €1m move from Molde in July 2021.
