Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered various reports about Premier League clubs being interested in Jean-Clair Todibo, who has struggled for regular opportunities at Barcelona.
Watford, Everton, Southampton and Manchester United are all credited with an interest in the defender.
On December 20th, we carried a report from Sport, who explained the Toffees and Saints have ‘entered very strong’ for the centre-back.
Late on Wednesday, Mundo Deportivo came up with a list of players, which covered those players who would continue at the Camp Nou and those who will be sold in the winter market.
The 19-year-old is included in the list and it’s claimed the Frenchman has drawn attention from several clubs across the continent, including some from England. Southampton and Everton get a mention and the report states these two sides ‘follow’ Todibo.
Barcelona won’t rule out a transfer in January because Ernesto Valverde has the centre-back position covered for the second half of the season.
The La Liga winners’ idea is to allow Todibo go out on loan to a club that plays in European competition, meaning a move to Everton or Southampton remains unlikely.
