On April 16th, we covered claims from France that Southampton have initiated contact with Randal Kolo Muani’s entourage, with a view to potentially signing the player this summer.
Those claims came around a month after Watford, recently promoted to the Premier League, were linked, and now Crystal Palace have been pulled into the transfer picture.
Le10 Sport have an exclusive on Friday which states Lyon are considering the striker, presenting competition from Ligue 1. Lyon are described as being ‘very interested’, and the competition from Southampton and Crystal Palace is referenced, with there being no mention of Watford this time.
The 22-year-old has a contract with FC Nantes lasting until 2022, putting his current club under some pressure if there’s no renewal. He’s made 36 appearances for Nantes in France’s top division so far this season, contributing eight goals and the same number of assists.
There’s no indication of what a potential transfer fee would be, with Nantes likely hoping the competition increases to help them push for a higher asking price.
