Southampton defender Yann Valery has agreed to join Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the young full-back has been approached by the Championship side over a move.
Valery has found himself out of favour at Southampton this season, with summer signing Kyle Walker-Peters meaning he has managed just three Premier League appearances so far.
That situation is unlikely to change between now and the end of the season and, rather than sitting on the bench, as he did for the recent defeat to Aston Villa, it appears he will be heading out and getting regular game time elsewhere.
FM report that the Southampton youngster has been ‘approached’ by Birmingham over a move and has already agreed to join them.
They are now in active negotiations with Southampton over the move, with the Saints having already given the okay for the 21-year-old to move to St Andrew’s on loan.
