The Friedkins are currently in-charge of two crisis clubs – Everton and Roma.
While the issues at Goodison Park have been inherited from the previous ownership, they are the reason for the mess with the Giallorossi.
Last night Roma lost to Hellas Verona and manager Ivan Juric’s job is on the line. His future with the club is uncertain not for the first time and things are now getting much more complex for him.
Interestingly, La Gazzetta dello Sport mention former Everton boss Frank Lampard as a potential candidate to replace Juric.
They mention the Englishman’s name has started to circulate at the club ‘strongly’ and the suggestion of hiring him has come from Everton.
The say ‘sources close’ to the Merseyside club have recommended Lampard’s name to the Friedkins and the feeling is that the ex-Chelsea boss is being considered for the job.
At the same time, Il Messaggero also mention Lampard’s name as a potential candidate and they refuse to rule out whether he is in the fray for the Roma job or not.
It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds because Lampard could be seen as a an underwhelming appointment, especially considering Roma are 11th in the table.
