Once again dropping points in a game that was within their reach in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea, Manchester United are now sitting three points behind fourth with two games to go.

A lack of Champions League next season could lead to some disgruntlement within the squad, even if the Red Devils being in this position is a miracle in itself, considering how far away from the top four they were when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Even if the Norwegian manager feels he can keep the majority of his players for the next campaign were they to play in the Europa League, one player who might start pushing for an exit is Paul Pogba, who knows he could be wanted at Madrid.

And, according to Cadena SER in Spain, it looks like we’re heading in that direction.

The Spanish radio station report on Monday that sources close to Paul Pogba have confirmed to them the Frenchman ‘believes he will sign for Real Madrid this summer’.

As they state, the literal sentence that best sums up the situation is: “Everyone wants it, and he thinks it is best.”

The belief from the same sources is that any transfer would be around €150m, and doubts about his behaviour aren’t an issue.

Cadena SER state players within the Real Madrid dressing room have ‘received great references about Pogba’ from current Manchester United squad members, who defend him as a ‘good guy’ and a ‘star who has everything to triumph’.

Furthermore, any transfer that could involve Gareth Bale heading in the other direction wouldn’t be directly linked to Paul Pogba’s, and would be a different deal altogether.

But that, in itself, is another story.
