Chelsea winger Willian has been surrounded by lots of speculation lately, and there are plenty of clubs who would be happy to land him.
The player was recently linked to Brazilian side Palmeiras, about which he was quick to dismiss the rumours, and also to a couple of Italian clubs.
Now Brazilian website UOL has a story about his situation today, claiming that for now, he’s not ruling out a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Willian reportedly loves London, loves Chelsea and loves the fans. That’s the main reason why he’s been very patient about sitting on the bench for much of the season.
Still, there are only two factors that could make the player stay: having more chances to play or seeing Antonio Conte leave the club.
UOL spoke to two sources close to him. One claimed ‘it’s needed patience with the manager’, and the other said ‘first we need to wait and see if the manager is staying to take a decision, because he almost left in the middle of the year’.
Speaking to people from Chelsea’s staff, UOL heard that Willian has no relationship problems at the club, and is actually praised for his attitude despite the lack of game time.
So the player clearly wants to stay, as long as he has chances to play. But in case things keep this way and Conte doesn’t leave, then it seems it’s William who will be forced to go… at least according to these Brazilian claims.
