Manchester United are set to be in the mix to sign Erling Haaland next summer, when he will have a €75m release clause, rising up to €90m including bonuses.
This week’s edition of SportBild states the striker can change clubs in 2022, while Borussia Dortmund are ‘fighting’ to retain him.
BVB are aware they cannot compete financially with European giants. They are considering offering an increase in salary from €8m to €15m per season, but there have been no negotiations on this topic.
For now, the 21-year-old is not handling ‘any concrete offer’ from another club. SportBild say Real Madrid seems to be the favourite to sign the Norway international.
Los Blancos are in the driving seat to sign Kylian Mbappé on a free transfer. His signing will allow them to invest big on Haaland.
PSG could join the transfer poker if Mbappé leaves the club, but the BVB star isn’t completely convinced of making a switch to France. 
United are mentioned at the end of the report. Should he join the Red Devils, the striker can meet Cristiano Ronaldo and also his old coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who ‘trusts him unconditionally’.
The English club have long maintained interest in the striker, and Solskjaer wanted to sign him before he agreed to join Dortmund in January 2020.
SportBild suggests if Haaland ends up at Manchester United, he ‘would be loved’ at Old Trafford.
