Italian newspaper Tuttosport today shares a little update on West Ham United’s chase for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The outlet today explains there’s still a ‘significant distance’ between the parties, but the talks carry on.

Juventus are said to be pushing for a loan where West Ham would have the obligation to buy the player for between €18m and €20m.

The Hammers are apparently doubtful about that, even becuase they now engaged in a pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.

Still, Tuttosport says the ‘communication channels’ between Juventus and West Ham ‘remains open’.

It’s highlighted that the Hammers aren’t the only side who could take Zakaria to the Premier League, as clubs from out of London appreciate him as well.

The Italian media has already claimed that the talks for Zakaria have been going for ‘weeks‘. Even though it’s West Ham who’ve long had the pole position for the signing, they’re actually having a hard time to get to a deal with Juventus.

It seems David Moyes’ side are just evaluating all options on the table before committing to the big investment.
