Wilfred Ndidi curiously having his medical with Leicester City this week, in a big few days for his current club Genk, hasn’t gone down well with everyone.
From a Genk perspective it’s understandably annoying for fans that the club let a star player go and complete a Leicester medical way before it needed to be done.
Genk boss Peter Maes has spoken to Het Belang van Limburg and told them Ndidi was back in training on Tuesday and his head is completely focused on the task at hand. That will be little comfort to Genk fans until they see the proof from the Leicester bound player on the pitch.
AllNigeriaSoccer have been following the situation closely and they claim on Wednesday: ‘It is one hundred percent confirmed that the Racing Genk number twenty five appended his signature to a five-year deal with the Foxes after passing his medical with flying colours.’
It’s a strange situation, and maybe the reasons for the early Leicester medical will become clear in time.
