Arsenal’s search for a new manager will see an endless list of potential coaches named.
Some of those will be genuine, some links will be the work of agents trying to hype their client, and others will be complete and utter nonsense.
A couple of Italian sources are claiming Paulo Sousa is one of the men in the running. Tuttomercatoweb reports he’s on a three man shortlist, although they don’t name the other two candidates.
Calciomercato reported it before them, and they stated Sousa, currently manager of Bordeaux is an ‘idea’. Whilst they didn’t elaborate any further than that, it’s not too hard to believe TMW’s lengthier article has been inspired by it.
Paulo Sousa probably isn’t a name which would get Arsenal fans too excited. He has Bordeaux in fifth position in Ligue 1 right now, yet his track record has as many downs as ups and his only trophies as a manager have come in Hungary, Israel and Switzerland.
This is probably one to push to the side for the moment, until anything more concrete shows up.
