Sheffield United are following Lyngby goalkeeper Mads Kikkenborg.
That’s according to Tipsbladet, who state the Premier League side have their eyes set on the 24-year-old for January.
Sheffield United are bottom of the table, trailing 17th placed Luton Town, who are also linked, by four points.
The Blades currently have the worst defensive record in the league as they have conceded 39 goals.
They seem to be looking for a goalkeeper and have set their sights on Kikkenborg, who played a major role in helping Lyngby avoid being relegated last season.
This has seen the Dane attract interest specifically from Sheffield United, and Tipsbladet state the club will try to make a bid for the stopper in January.
Kikkenborg’s deal expires in 2026 and that would put the Danish club in a strong position next month, when Sheffield United interest is ‘expected to become more concrete’.
There’s no mention of the fee the English club could offer or the fee that’s needed to convince Lyngby.
Kikkenborg has kept three clean sheets and conceded 27 goals from 17 league games this season.
