Calciomercato claim an Aitor Karanka exclusive on Saturday.
According to what they’ve heard, the Nottingham Forest manager is interesting both Sevilla and Celta Vigo.
The Spanish clubs have ‘probed’ Karanka, which may sound oddly intrusive but usually means asking if the interest is reciprocal and if a move is possible.
At the same time as pushing the rumour, Calciomercato say they don’t think it’ll happen, so Sevilla and Celta Vigo will have to look elsewhere.
Over in Spain, Moi Celeste, a news source specialising in Celta Vigo, call it a ‘strange’ rumour with ‘little credibility’, and they doubt the club are really interested.
Sevilla’s local media haven’t picked it up yet.
This all feels like nonsense.
Karanka seems happy, and hasn’t proven the type to flirt with other clubs. Over his time managing, he’s also not been someone who could be suspected of pushing links about himself, either directly or via an agent.
