Given the impact of their loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley, Real Madrid ‘need an exorcist’ report Marca.
Demonstrating how little can cause a crisis at the Spanish club, Marca say not even the oldest in the team can ‘remember such a mess’. On the bright side, the Spanish newspaper explain that now Madrid have ‘hit bottom’ there’s only one way for them to go.
The loss to Tottenham isn’t being taken very well.
Marca journalist Jose Vicente Hernaez states: “I think that what Real Madrid need, more than the urgent reappearance of Keylor Navas, and especially of Carvajal, is an exorcist.”
Stop sniggering at the back.
Marca have had some fun with the player ratings too.
No less than 8 Real Madrid players have been given a – mark.
That clearly isn’t a sign of anything very good, but the Tottenham marks are a little on the mean side.
Only Dele Alli from the playing staff got the three stars which signals a really excellent game, with Mauricio Pochettino joining him.
Poch was praised with the words ‘Brilliant approach. Great victory for Spurs.’ and Alli got ‘Lethal in space. Opportunist for the first goal. The best.’
Poch and Alli are very much the stars for the Spanish media, and Harry Kane will likely have to sit back and see others take over move rumours.
