One of the slightly stranger Leeds United stories around the January transfer window was that of the Championship club’s alleged interest in Moise Kean.
The Juventus youngster was kept around by Max Allegri for the 2018-19 season after a loan spell at Hellas Verona last year, but has only been able to offer him a mere 76 minutes of first-team football this year.
That’s why a loan move to a club like Leeds, where Marcelo Bielsa could have found a use for him, would have been ideal for the 19-year-old.
In fact, according to Tuttosport, Kean was ‘tempted’ by a move to either Leeds or Milan (the two named clubs) in January, only for Juventus to stand in his way.
For now, the starlet will have to bide his time on the bench and continue to train until the next transfer window.
A meeting is set to take place between Juventus and Kean’s agent Mino Raiola in April to determine what the next step will be.
If Leeds get promoted to the Premier League, perhaps a second attempt for a move to Elland Road could be on the cards?
We’ll have to wait and see.
