A surprise package this summer in the pursuit of the young Juventus defender, Everton have officially joined Arsenal as part of the Daniele Rugani fan club.
Ronald Koeman’s team were reported to have bid €30m for the centre-back, which has since been confirmed to Sport Witness, while Arsenal’s interest in him dates back to January.
At the time, the 21-year-old was barely playing, watching the famed BBC (Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini) ply their trade from the bench, but things have changed since.
Rugani eventually ended up making 17 appearances for Juventus last season in the league, and the Serie A team aren’t exactly thrilled at the idea of letting such a talented prospect leave.
In fact, Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday say the Italian side have gone as far as ‘putting up a wall’ around the defender in order to ensure he isn’t going anywhere.
In simpler terms, he just isn’t for sale.
