While Newcastle and Moussa Sissoko’s agent are tied in some kind of media battle regarding how much the French midfielder is actually worth, clubs are reportedly lining up for his services waiting for a final decision to be made.

Reports of various big Premier League clubs have been doing the rounds since the Euros semi-final, and in Italy, they seem to think Juventus are hot on his heels too.

Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday claim the Serie A club are trying to force Newcastle’s hand to sign the 26-year-old, all the while waiting for new developments in the price saga to take place.

The Italian newspaper also say signing the French international would be the “icing on the cake” after they finalise the transfer of Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb, as he would be the complete midfielder they’ve been looking for.

First, though, Newcastle probably need to lower their £35m valuation of their star player before Juventus make a bid.

Then again, the Geordie club don’t particularly want to sell, either.
