There is a claim in the Italian media that Lazio are showing an interest in Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.
The youngster may have to go out on loan again next season, or leave permanently, following his spell with Cardiff City last season.
TMW report Lazio have ‘set their sights’ on Grujic and could make a move for the Serbian this summer. It’s not reported if the Serie A side want to loan the player or purchase him outright from Liverpool.
The former Red Star Belgrade midfielder has been unable to break into Jurgen Klopp’s team since arriving in England, and last season mainly played for Liverpool’s U23s before his move to Cardiff City.
It’s unlikely next season he will get many chances under Klopp and a move seems the best option for the 22 year old, given the players who have arrived already at Anfield this summer.
Lazio and Liverpool dealt with each other last summer when Lucas Levia joined the Roman club for £5m. In 2016 Luis Alberto joined Lazio from Liverpool.
Moving to the Rome club would certainly be an interesting transfer for Grujic and an opportunity which would likely tempt the player.
