According to reports coming out of the Hotel Melia, Chievo Verona have rejected a bid from Galatasaray for Samuel Bastien.
The Belgian forward has been linked with a move to Aston Villa in recent weeks.
TMW have reported from the Milanese hotel where agents gather in the last days of the window to get last minute deals done. The Italian football outlet claim Chievo have turned down Galatarsay’a advances for the 21 year old.
The Turkish giants wanted to sign Bastien initially on loan with a right of redemption, but it seems the youngster will remain in Italy at least until the summer.
Two weeks ago we covered reports that Aston Villa were tracking Bastien, after the Belgian caught the eye of the Championship side with his performances for Chievo.
It was claimed the player was an option for Steve Bruce in this transfer window, but speculation has gone quiet of a move to Villa Park.
At the time it was reported Huddersfield Town could provide competition to Aston Villa in the race for the attacker.
