Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Franck Kessie even before it became fashionable to be so, so the arrival of Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte at Spurs only made the claims increase.

Following their time at Juventus and Inter Milan, it was assumed that the Italian pair couldn’t have failed to notice the AC Milan midfielder and what he could bring to the Premier League club.

Kessie has held off on signing a new contract with the Rossoneri, which means that as things stand he’ll be a free agent at the end of the season. Tottenham continue to be linked, along with PSG and Barcelona.

All three clubs are named by MilanLive as they cover comments from a former teammate of Kessie’s.

Janis Cavagna played with Kessie at the Atalanta academy and has very good things to say about the AC Milan player and his qualities: “He was so superior to the others that he played with his shoes undone, he was an unbeatable player. The following year he went to Cesena, Mr. Drago changed his role and there he exploded. He was a player who from a physical point of view made the difference, he was sensationally superior to the others.

“He was the captain in my first year of Primavera. When he got to certain levels I was so happy for him. I remember that he was a professional in all respects, already from the youth sector he was a perfectionist. All the injuries he has had penalised him, now he is slowly recovering what he had left behind.”

That sounds like a great report for Tottenham, but Paratici and Conte will surely already be aware.
