A few days ago we covered reports from France that Tottenham are continuing with their efforts to sign Malcom from Bordeaux.
Despite failing to get the Brazilian in the January window, and then signing Lucas Moura from PSG, Tottenham are said to still be very keen on getting Malcom to the club during the summer transfer window.
So keen are Tottenham that it was claimed Mauricio Pochettino has made a personal telephone call to the player to convince him that Spurs is the right option for when he leaves Bordeaux in the summer.
That exit from the French club is looking increasingly nailed on, with L’Equipe reporting on Tuesday that Malcom is being lined up as part of the club’s change of ownership.
Bordeaux are in the process of trying to build a sale to a US investment group, after Chinese interest, and L’Equipe state the proceeds from a Malcom sale could be directly used by the new owners to pay off the old owners.
That would only make things easier for Tottenham and see all the pieces fall into place on a transfer.
