Just like West Ham, AC Milan are looking forward to the Carlos Bacca actually happening. They want the player to accept the Hammer’s offer within a week so they can use the transfer money in the summer market.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, West Ham have bid €27m + €3m in bonuses, and it was already accepted by Milan.
The big issue is the personal agreement with the player. The first offer of €3.5m per season was immediately rejected, and after the English side have shown they can pay €4m, the talks seem closer to a happy ending.
Milan were also hoping that Atletico Madrid would outbid West Ham, but the Colchoneros only asked for the player’s information and never contacted the Italian club back, so the Hammers have a clear run to sign the 29-year-old soon.
Bacca excelled in Spain, which made the Atletico option attractive, but if it’s not there, and Milan are pushing out, he better get perfecting his English.
