A week ago, Sky Italia published an interview with Romelu Lukaku, in which the player admitted he is not happy with his situation at Chelsea.
The 28-year-old also talked about wanting to return to Inter Milan and heaped praise on Antonio Conte, who is currently at Tottenham Hotspur.
This led to reports starting to link the striker with a move to the north London club. Three days ago, Quotidiano.net stated Conte is ‘in love’ with the Blues frontman and is ‘waiting for him’ at Spurs.
Lukaku, meanwhile, has issued a public apology and after being left out of the squad to face Liverpool at the weekend, Thomas Tuchel started him in the west London club’s 2-0 win over Spurs in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
“It seems clear to me, this turmoil is aimed at returning to his old coach Antonio Conte. But maybe I’m wrong…” Bia told TuttoMercatoWeb.
Chelsea invested in excess of €100m last summer in bringing Lukaku to Stamford Bridge. If Spurs were to make an attempt to take him away from the Blues, they would have to spend big.
“I don’t know [how much money will it take to sign Lukaku], the English world is a very special one,” the agent added.
It’s to be noted that Bia doesn’t manage Lukaku and the Chelsea striker is represented by Federico Pastorello.
