Wolverhampton aren’t done purchasing players this summer, and with just a few hours left in the transfer window, moves will undoubtedly be made.

Whether they are successful or not is a different matter, much like their attempt to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus.

We relayed a claim from Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday, who claimed Wolves had made £30m offer for the Italian defender, and while it was stated he would prefer a move to Arsenal, he was also reflecting on the possibility of heading to Molineux.

Gazzetta dello Sport have a similar outlook on the matter on Thursday morning, although they do exude a bit more pessimism.

They confirm that a €32m offer from Wolves has been made, but that option ‘fascinates Rugani far less’ than the Arsenal one.

However, with the Gunners seemingly on the verge of signing David Luiz from Chelsea, perhaps Molineux now looks far more enticing.

We’ll see by 5pm tonight.
