Missing out on Romelu Lukaku, and with Antonio Conte making it clear to Diego Costa that he wasn’t counting on him for next season, the only realistic striker option left at Chelsea right now is Michy Batshuayi.
While the Belgian forward wasn’t exactly a regular starter last season for the Blues, his impact when coming off the bench was very good, and he quickly became a fan favourite.
However, with another striker expected to come in this summer to replace the aforementioned Spaniard, it seems next season could be much of the same for the 24-year-old, and an exit somewhere, most likely temporary, could be on the cards.
A return to Ligue 1 was briefly touted, but that appears to have disappeared, and now it’s all about a potential move to Turkey, with reports from their local media emerging on Tuesday.
And FootMercato, via their journalist Dahbia Hattabi, have, via their own sources, confirmed the Fenerbahçe interest in signing the Belgium international for next season, having made him their ‘priority’ this summer.
Confirmation pour Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea), c’est la priorité de Fenerbahçe. Discussions ont eu lieu à son sujet ces derniers jours

Discussions have apparently taken place over the past few days, most likely between the two clubs, but no news has emerged regarding the player’s desire to move away from Stamford Bridge at this moment in time.
As things stand, Batshuayi is expected to be a part of Antonio Conte’s preseason squad for their trip to China and Singapore, but if talks accelerate between the two sides and the player is up for it, that could change rather quickly.
