Earlier today we covered claims from Super Deporte that Manchester United are on the verge of signing Adrián Corral.
The young Spaniard, who can play as a left back or central defender, has told Villarreal he won’t be signing a professional contract with them, having turned 16 years of age this month.
Super Deporte said ‘everything points to’ the player moving to Old Trafford, and his old club just getting training compensation.
Now the claims have been backed up by Sport, who say Manchester United are taking a ‘pearl’ from the youth system of Villarreal.
It’s a long held frustration for Spanish clubs, with Premier League sides scouting the youth sections of football in the country and doing their best to snatch away the best talents.
Sport say the youngster has already announced on social media that he’s leaving Villarreal, and it’s stated that Liverpool had also been interested recently.
For the Yellow Submarine club, it’s another blow after they lost other youngsters to Athletic Club Bilbao and Atletico Madrid in recent months.
