Chelsea’s chase for Alex Sandro continues to much commented on in Italy, especially after Juventus representative Beppe Marotta confirmed an offer from the Blues.
In today’s edition of Tuttosport, the newspaper explains that Dani Alves’ possible departure has convinced the Old Lady they need to keep the left-back. But that doesn’t mean Chelsea will stop bidding, and it’s expected Antonio Conte’s side will be offering more than €60m this time, something actually closer to €70m.
Juventus intend to turn it down, but there’s only one way the club would sell Alex Sandro: if he asks to leave. Then the board would go for plan b, which is to chase another left-back with that money.
Tuttosport’s article is pretty much lined up with what Marotta said last week, when he teased the possibility of Chelsea making a huge salary offer to the player and convincing him.
Juventus don’t seem keen on begging players to stay, so going to London is a choice that is only up to Alex Sandro now. And of course a new, bigger, Chelsea offer.
