Finally getting some game time under Roy Hodgson following his £9m move from Nantes in the summer, Imrân Louza will have wanted his first season in English football to end on a better note.
Not only has his team, Watford, been relegated back down to the Championship, but the Morocco international will not be able to finish the current campaign either.
Missing from the Hornets’ squad against Crystal Palace despite playing the full 90 minutes against Burnley the week before, Louza’s season is now over.
That’s according to RMC Sport’s Loïc Tanzi, who took to Twitter to report the player has needed surgery on a small meniscus issue and will be out for the next four weeks.
Absent avec Watford le week-end dernier, Imran Louza s’est fait opérer d une petite lésion du ménisque.

With just two fixtures left in the Premier League season, this means he’s already played his final game of 2021-22.
Whether he is at Watford next season remains to be seen, as the club are likely to undertake some squad changes in the coming months, which could end up with a few players sold.
It all depends on what the next manager to try his luck at Vicarage Road wants, really.
