According to a claim in the Greek media, Olympiacos right-back Omar Elabdellaoui is a transfer target for Burnley ahead of the January transfer window.
The Norwegian defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League since last year and Sdna.Gr report he’s now a target for Sean Dyche’s side.
It’s reported the Burnley boss ‘likes’ the player, who he watched during last season’s Europa League. Elabdellaoui will become a free agent at the end of the season but has yet to agree on a new contract with the Greek giants.
Subsequently the English side can open talks with the Norway international in the new year with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
However, Sdna report Olympiacos are ‘relaxed’ about his contract situation as they believe their relationship with the player’s agent will be important in getting his client to renew.
The 27 year old, who previously played for Hull City in the Premier League in the second half of 2016/17 season, has been key in Pedro Martins’ side this campaign.
He’s made 21 appearances in all competitions.
