Crystal Palace shareholder John Textor is living life to the fullest in Brazil.
This Monday, the Botafogo owner was the centre of attention in the Senate, where he testified about the supposed match fixing scandal he claims to have evidence of.
As Globo Esporte reports Textor’s arrival in Brasília, they point out something he did at the weekend, which was to skateboard in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro… and have an accident.
The Crystal Palace shareholder, who seems to live a completely different personality while in Brazil, was filmed dropping a mini ramp and doing some old school tricks with local skaters in Saquarema. It turns out he ended up falling and going to hospital, where he had surgery to correct a fracture in his elbow.
That’s why Textor missed Botafogo’s match against Juventude, but still made it to Brasília to speak to the Senate.
“I’ve been skateboarding for many years. I had a very bad fall. I should have been wearing elbow pads and not jumping like I did when I was younger. But this happens to me all the time,” said Textor.
This isn’t the first time Textor is seen among the locals, as he’s already watched a Botafogo game with fans in the stands. He seems to love his time in South America, despite having his power at Crystal Palace and Lyon as well.
