According to reports in the Italian media Bologna are probing Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri. The Rossoblu in the past week have also been linked with Silvestri’s Leeds United teammate Giuseppe Bellusci.
Bologna News have reported Bologna may be looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer following claims their current No.1 Antonio Mirante could leave the Serie A side. Both Juventus and AS Roma are taking an interest in the 33-year-old as they look to bring in a back-up to their first choice goalkeepers.
Leeds United’s Silvestri has subsequently emerged as a target for Bologna if Mirante leaves in the next window. Silverstri struggled to get games last season, and with Rob Green committing himself to Leeds United for another twelve months the Italian may decide to move on in the next window.
With a contract running out in 2018, this summer is a very important one for Silvestri, who is likely to want to play regularly at 26 years of age, and there’s every chance he could refuse the opportunity to stay any longer at Leeds United.
