Last summer, Nottingham Forest failed to sign Fulham’s Andreas Pereira despite making an offer.
This was revealed by the midfielder himself in November, and the Reds are still looking at him.
Earlier this week, TNT Sports Brasil reported Nottingham Forest are back in the mix to sign the Fulham player.
Rti Esporte backs that up and provides more on the Premier League club’s plan to try and sign the 29-year-old in the summer window.
They state Flamengo are looking to take the former Manchester United man away from Fulham. The Brazilian club know about Nottingham Forest and Marseille’s interested in Pereira.
In order to get ahead of the competition, Flamengo’s plan is to start transfer negotiations in the next few days.
The Brazil international’s contract lasts until 2026, with an option for another year. According to the report, Fulham are requesting €35m to sanction his sale and the South American club consider this to be too high.
Flamengo sporting director José Boto knows Nottingham Forest and Marseille have better finances, but found out the two clubs are unwilling to meet Fulham’s request. In short, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side and the Ligue 1 side want the price to be lowered.
Last month, Pereira rejected approaches made by Krasnodar, Napoli and Olympiacos, and this would help Nottingham Forest and Marseille.
