On Wednesday, Corriere dello Sport brought back the idea that Tottenham were interested in AS Roma’s Amadou Diawara.
It’s no secret that Spurs are fans of the defensive midfielder, following him back when he was a Napoli player, and even a move to the Rome based club last summer hasn’t put them off.
It was suggested in January the London side were ‘closely studying’ the Guinea international, and Corriere pointed out they were the club ‘one above all’ amid a number of Premier League suitors.
Fast forward to Thursday, and Il Messaggero confirm this, reporting that Tottenham are ‘interested’ in the Diawara, whom Roma value at €30m.
Daniel Levy and co., however, aren’t willing to do a deal at that price, meaning they would want the Serie A club to lower their demands for the player, who didn’t have the best outing in the 2-1 win over Sampdoria on Wednesday evening.
Hindered here and there by injuries this season, the 22-year-old has made a total of 20 appearances under Paulo Fonseca this season.
