Regardless of how many times Harry Kane gets linked away from Tottenham and Wembley, everyone takes the rumours with a pinch of salt.

Clearly in love with the club, despite some unfortunate early pictures of him in an Arsenal top, the 24-year-old striker doesn’t seem like he’ll leave London time anytime soon.

Down their own end, Tottenham would make any transfer as difficult as possible, asking for exorbitant amounts of money for their star man, especially after he scored more goals than Lionel Messi in 2017.

Interviewed by Gazzetta dello Sport, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about the England striker’s feat, and he said: “Harry’s most important quality is his desire to improve. Also his bond with Tottenham is important: he reminds me of Totti with Roma.”

While Kane gets most of the headlines on a weekly basis with his goals, the Spurs manager has multiple talented players at his disposal, including Dele Alli who, despite having a slightly poorer season than usual, remains a key element in the Argentinian’s plans.

On the 21-year-old, he said: “He has enormous quality. I’ve never doubted him. With young players, you need to have patience. Every now and then they need time to breathe.”

With Alli returning to form over the past few games and Harry Kane still finding the back of the net for fun, there’s no reason why Tottenham couldn’t end the season with at least one piece of silverware.

The Premier League might be out of reach, but there’s still the FA Cup and the Champions League to think about, even if there is a Juventus shaped wall standing in their way for the latter.
