Reece Oxford has had a season to forget so far at West Ham.
Had things been different, he may now be a permanent Borussia Monchengladbach player getting regular games, with the German club considering a permanent deal last year.
The Hammers cut short his season long loan to the Bundesliga side in January 2018 and then ended sending him back for the second half of the season.
This season has been spent with West Ham’s development squad, without a sniff of getting into in Manuel Pellegrini’s plans.
A move is clearly needed for the 20 year old and several clubs are thought to be keen.
In the Netherlands it’s being reported that one of those sides is SC Heerenveen.
The Eredivisie club are so keen that their technical director Gerry Hamstra was in London on Friday trying to negotiate a loan deal with the Premier League side, report the club’s local newspaper Leeuwarder Courant.
It’s not the most glamorous of moves, and the success will be dependent on what else is on the table.
