In the winter transfer window, Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho was heavily linked with a move to Napoli.

It later emerged that while an exit to the Italian giants was close, the transfer was halted because of the Argentine’s excessive wage demands that left Napoli surprised.

Despite that, it doesn’t seem as if Napoli’s interest has gone away and Antonio Conte is still keen on signing Garnacho from Manchester United.

Il Mattino, as relayed by CalcioNapoli24, have revealed that the Italian tactician sees the 21-year-old as a ‘little jewel’ and a move can potentially be done in the summer.

The outlet are confident that Manchester United will offer a heavy discount and their price tag for Garnacho will drop to less than €45m in the next few months.

This will hand Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis the chance to seal a move for the talent.

The winger hasn’t had a great 2025 by any means and has come under criticism from sections of Manchester United fans.

He’s still scored nine goals and has racked up eight assists in all competitions and it is quite clear that Conte sees a lot of potential in the Argentina international.
