A week or so ago, we looked at some of the players Manchester United could be looking at currently playing at Monaco, and among them was a certain Fabinho.
The former right-back, now converted into a very gifted defensive midfielder by Leonardo Jardim, is one of the possible departures from the Stade Louis II this summer, and L’Equipe decided to look where he could end up.
However, with the summer transfer window already on the minds of many managers, the Brazilian midfielder could already be on José Mourinho’s list.
The French newspaper estimate it would take a transfer fee of around €35-40m to convince Monaco to let him go, which, considering he was bought for €6m, would be a lovely profit for the Ligue 1 side.
While his father admitted to ‘liking Manchester United and what Mourinho is doing’, he also stated they (him and Fabinho) have a ‘weakness for Manchester City’.
Of course, the prospect of having the choice to play under either the Special One or Pep Guardiola is something few players will get to have in their career, and it seems Fabinho will have a difficult decision to make in the summer.
