Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has agreed to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer and it was made official on Monday.
The Wales international was offered a new deal by the Gunners last September, but then it was withdrawn, much to the frustration of many Arsenal fans.
With less than six months left on contract, the 28-year-old held talks several clubs and this includes Barcelona.
In today’s edition of Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, it’s explained that Ramsey was an ‘interesting player’ for any team who wanted to land him on a free transfer in the summer.
However, the Spanish champions decided against signing the player because they have more options in midfield and have already tied down a deal to bring Frenkie de Jong to Camp Nou from Ajax.
In addition to this, they are chasing Adrien Rabiot, who will also be a free agent after this campaign.
Barcelona just want you to know they weren’t snubbed.
